Explore the magic of puppetry and become part of the inaugural Suze’s PCA Puppet Troupe! Children will learn about the creative and collaborative world of puppetry by participating in one of three camps. Each camp is designed for a specific age group to inspire and engage in just the right way, and will culminate in short, fun performances for family and friends to celebrate the magical experience of puppetry adventures.
Puppet Arts Camp, Ages 6 - 8

Puppet Discovery Camp, Ages 9 - 12
Have a blast discovering a wide variety of puppetry styles and cultural traditions in this experience that culminates in a special show-and-tell event.

Join us for an immersive, exciting puppetry adventure that allows students the opportunity to design, build, write for and perform in their very own puppet shows.

Puppetry Training Workshop, Ages 16 - Adult
Join us this summer for our Puppetry Training Workshop led by professionally trained puppeteer Chris Hamby. Mr. Hamby, an award-winning director, serves as Executive Director for Theater Works where he was previously Education Director, and Artistic Director. Hamby was recently elected to the National Board of Directors for the American Association of Community Theatre. Participants will learn the basics of performance and technique. Whether you are a keen hobbyist, a complete beginner, you will develop your skills within puppet making and puppetry performance.

This camp will provide students with an opportunity to make a wide range of ceramics art, including functional and sculptural objects. Students will be guided through inspirational topics and themes and learn a variety of hand building techniques. Projects may include piggy banks, trinket boxes, coil pots, and special mementos that will last a lifetime! Note: Some projects will need to be picked up after the camp is finished to allow time for drying and firing.

Theatre Adventurers is a great theatrical program for youngsters and is especially beneficial for those with little or no theatre experience. Youngsters will audition, rehearse, and perform a one-act play while learning theatre basics and having a LOT of fun doing it!

Ages 10 to 15
This program is a great experience for youth, with or without prior experience, who would like to be involved in the performance of a “junior” musical. This experience will bridge from the "Theatre Adventurers" to "Teen Summer Stock", preparing participants for the full theater experience. There will be three performances in the Cabaret. The days are scheduled to allow the participants to learn the process of producing a show with professional guidance and educational expertise.
